Daily therapeutic practices were compared to official labelling and to published scientific data in this retrospective study. It was carried out in two respective specialised centers, from January to September 2004. All chemotherapies administered for adult solid tumours and including one of the eleven studied drugs were evaluated. Different guidelines are adopted in clinics and countries to assess pure tone hearing sensitivity in children with otitis media with effusion (OME). Some guidelines specify a broad range of audiometric frequencies that must be tested and from which average thresholds determined, while others leave test frequencies unspecified. Osteoporosis is very common, particularly in post-menopausal women and is characterized by a decrease in bone mass and strength. Osteoporosis also affects the jawbone and it is considered a potential contraindication to placement of dental implants. The present paper reviews the literature regarding the effect of osteoporosis on osseointegration of implants. Experimental models have shown that osteoporosis affects the process of osseointegration, which can be reversed by treatment. However, studies in subjects with osteoporosis have shown no differences in survival of the implants compared to healthy individuals. Measurements of independent fission yield distributions in neutron-induced fission at high neutron energies are important for our fundamental understanding of the fission process, and are also relevant for reactor physics applications. So far, measurements of independent fission yields in proton-induced fission have been performed at the IGISOL facility at the University of Jyväskylä, using the Penning trap as a high resolving-power mass-filter. W artykule przedstawiamy wyniki analizy realizacji tekstowej wzorca gatunkowego publikacji Jurija Nykołyszyna Lwów. Przewodnik. W części wstępnej przywołujemy teorię wzorca gatunkowego i jego wariantów kanonicznego, alternacyjnego i adaptacyjnego. Na tym tle pokazujemy przewodnik turystyczny jako gatunek. W kolejnych częściach omawiamy wyznaczniki gatunkowe analizowanego przewodnika: heterogeniczność, użytkowość, waloryzację i relacje nadawczo-odbiorcze. Analiza doprowadza do wniosku, że przewodnik Jurija Nykołyszyna jest wariantem alternacyjnym typowego przewodnika i charakteryzuje się jakościowymi i ilościowymi modyfikacjami kanonu.

BACKGROUND There is still uncertainty about what constitutes the best therapeutic practice in ulcerative colitis (UC). OBJECTIVE The purpose of the "UC Horizons Project" was to raise a series of questions regarding the management of UC to provide responses based on the best scientific evidence available. METHODS The 11 members of the scientific committee prepared draft answers to the 10 questions from available evidence after a literature search.
